Rocking the Kasbah in Tangier

No photos because these fucking places have no USB ports, and these freaking french keyboards are giving me the shites. Oh well, left Fes around a week ago, went to ChefChaoeun, which was nice and quiet just to chill out; In the ,midst of the Rif mountains it was was a great backdrop to view on. I will get some photos up shortly so that you can see for yourselves. imagine Smurfville, and you will get a rough picture of it.

In Tangeir now. Got Hammered with a local Mohammad ¤there all either mohammad or mustafa around here¤ and had some fun in a seedy little bar. getting a bit sick of the lack of things to do, as morocco is a little restrictive with what you can do. All I want is to sit back on the street and drink a beer in public, and look upon people with teeth, and hopefully a normal dressed woman to put me at ease. Going a little stir crazy, need some normallity in my life. Bring on Spain

Last day in Fes - Membad issahallah (until next time if god wills)

The Tombs outside the Medina walls - Been there.
Volublius (Fes's oldest Roman ruins) - Done that
Wore a Jelehba (traditional dress) - bought that

Well last day in Fes in the tranquil settings of my mum's house. Been there, done that, loved and hated it. Got asked this, got called that, and that ain't going to change for many moons to come. So this begins my lack of communication, as I will be on the road from here on in. Off to Chefcheoun (the Big C), Tangier and then off to Spain, then Portugal. Tunza of Work I will say hola to your family. Respect all, and issahlah bitches.

Ana Can scone Fes (I live in Fes)

Tell you what you become a celebrity pretty quickly in Fes, when you mum lives here, and your brother is getting married to the Fes princess (well she looks like one anyway.) After 16 days of waiting at the police station, and trying to get signitures from the courts, my brother is finally married in the legal sense, but not publicly. On the 14th of March, they will be presented to the locals as a married couple, and until then, it is not really offical. A Bit backwards to what I am accoustom to but nonetherless, this ain't my culture either. I'm getting there though.

Other than that, other things that have happened, nearly saw a kid get killed crossing the road, been attacked by a dog, been asked if I want hassish nearly every 100 metres, and have cooked my first Targine.

Todays weather, 25 and toasty, with a touch of dead cow smell in the air from the tanneries (where they make leather). All in all having a ball, and about 5 friends are meeting me tomorrow from across the globe.
Above is my mum, and the view from her terrace. More Photos

Sweet Home Morocco

After a 10 hour flight from Dubai to Casablanca, and then a painful 4 hour train ride (without a seat), I finally arrived in my Second home, Fes where mum mother lives. She lives in the old city called the Medina, which comprises a maze of tiny streets (alleys), that span 350 sq hectares. The city is more than 1000 years old, and the house that Mum has just finished renovating the in past 6 months, is approx. 300 years old and right at the heart of the touristy part in Fes called Ain Azletin. Tell you what a total culture shock, just people everywhere wanting you name and where you have come from, and also to taste the loacl delights, hence this picture to our right. Tasty I can tell you, I recommend having this Raw. Raw to the bone, my friend.

First day, got lost in the medina for 3 hours, in the maze, Been asked to buy Hassish, been asked for money (all the time), Seen some amazing old Moroccan architure, Seen some arabic princesses, been told that I am Japanesse, French, Spanish, Mexican, and Chinese (one is at least close), and eaten the most amzing food. The Targen's rock my world. Inshallah people.

More to come people, stay tuned.

Arriving and Leaving Dubai

I came I saw, and I don't know what to say about Dubai. It is an interesting place, that has no real culture except for the rich and the under previlaged that provide the luxuries for the rich. Saw the whole town in one day, went Snowboarding in the Emirates Mall, saw massive construction (the Burj) and drank with Emirates hostesses. That is all that you can do I think, I spent 5 days there, but you can do that in two. I recommend get there and then get the fuk out of that crazy town.

I did happen to go on a dessert trip to a place out of Dubai called Jebel Hafeet, which is an amazing rock formation jutting out of the ground in the middle of the dessert in the middle of nowhere. Mind you people stay in a 5 star Mecure hotel, there for some reason.
This is a material world, and I'm not a matierial guy...... Andre, Cazza, Bazza, Smitho, thanks for your hospitality freaking nice house. More photos if your interested
