I came I saw, and I don't know what to say about Dubai. It is an interesting place, that has no real culture except for the rich and the under previlaged that provide the luxuries for the rich. Saw the whole town in one day, went Snowboarding in the Emirates Mall, saw massive construction (the Burj) and drank with Emirates hostesses. That is all that you can do I think, I spent 5 days there, but you can do that in two. I recommend get there and then get the fuk out of that crazy town.
I did happen to go on a dessert trip to a place out of Dubai called Jebel Hafeet, which is an amazing rock formation jutting out of the ground in the middle of the dessert in the middle of nowhere. Mind you people stay in a 5 star Mecure hotel, there for some reason.
